Denver's Union Station By Night...

Image
One of my favorite places to visit at any time of day!  So full of history and excitement. Located in the Lower Downtown historic district (LoDo,) Union Station was built about 6 years after Colorado gained statehood. Of course, most of the nation's major railroads used it throughout the 19th and 20th Centuries. I decided to avail myself of the free grounds day.  The National Western Complex is pretty widespread, but there's plenty of ways to get around: shuttle buses, golf carts just to name two.   There are two new buildings on the grounds:  The Sue Anschutz Livestock center where a person can see all manner of animals.  Also an especially nice building called the Lega...

Trip to the John Denver Sanctuary in Aspen.

Recently, I decided to go to Aspen to visit the John Denver Sanctuary.  It is truly a lovely tribute to one of my favorite singers!  Now that I'm living in Colorado, I've developed a new appreciation for his music.
