Denver's Union Station By Night...

  One of my favorite places to visit at any time of day!  So full of history and excitement. Located in the Lower Downtown historic district (LoDo,) Union Station was built about 6 years after Colorado gained statehood. Of course, most of the nation's major railroads used it throughout the 19th and 20th Centuries. AMTRAK is still a very important presence to this very day.  If you're lucky, you might occasionally spot a fancy private train car there!  However, it's not just all about the trains... Union Station is also a hub of activity for Denver's Regional Transportation District (RTD). It's the start of several of the commuter train and light rail lines.  You can also catch the free Metro Ride buses from there. Those buses will take you down 16th Street where there are a plethora of tourist attractions and plenty of activities happening.  One of the most interesting aspects of Union Station is the fact is that it is also a luxury hotel.
